Eucerin/ Glycerin/ Water Topical Ointment   40:10:50

    glycerin  100%  PO SOLN   
    Water, sterile        
Recipe Total Quantity:
Final Quantity Desired: mL

Directions: 1. Weigh/ measure all ingredients and mix well in blender or mechanical mixer.
2. Transfer to ointment jar and label.

Alternatively, eucerin can be melted in a warm water bath and glycerin and water can be added. Mixture should be stirred until thoroughly mixed and cooled.

Notes NOTE: Lanolin/mineral oil/petrolatum compound is Eucerin.

Assign expiry date using USP 795 Guidelines, since no stability data available.
USP 795 guidelines - Solid Formulations:
"Where the manufactured drug product is the active ingredient source - not later than 25% of the time remaining until the preparation expiration date or 6 months, whichever is earlier.
Where USP or NF is the active ingredient source - 6 months"
