    folic acid  5 mg/mL  INJ   
    sodium hydroxide  0.1 N (0.4%)      
    Water, sterile       qs to 
Recipe Total Quantity:
Final Quantity Desired: mL

Directions: 1. Mix folic acid and majority of water.
2. Adjust pH to between 8.0 and 8.5 using sodium hydroxide and pH paper.
3. QS to final volume with water.

Notes Folic acid injection contains 15 mg/mL benzyl alcohol.
