Directions: HAZARDOUS - CYTOTOXIC
Prepare in BSC and refer to the AHS Hazardous Medication Handling Guide for more information.

1. Dilute the desired amount of etoposide 20 mg/mL injectable solution with normal saline 0.9% solution for injection to 10 mg/mL.
2. Transfer to final container

Notes To account for product loss during transfer into oral syringes, consider making double the required amount.

Large quantities may be prepared by mixing in a glass amber bottle and using adapt-a-cap to draw up each dose in an oral syringe. Alternatively, a syringe-to-syringe tip connector may be used to mix using syringe-to-syringe transfer for mixing of a single dose.

Package final product in such a manner that allows for safe dispensing /storage of a cytotoxic medication.
